Since your story vanishes in 24 hours, the photos and videos are meant to be raw, real, and relevant to the particular moment. The pressure to produce "perfect" Instagram grid worthy content is drastically less. These photos and videos can be informal. The reason businesses use this type of content is because it humanizes your business and gives it transparency, which allows your target audience to connect with you on a deeper level.

If the past 2 years have taught us anything, it's that there is always a human being on the other side of the screen and by nature, humans are social creatures. We want to connect with someone across the table or even on a Zoom call. We need to use stories to communicate our story to our customers, educate them, and influence them. The best kind of marketing is one that makes you feel something. It can be joy or laughter or even sadness. It just needs to trigger a human emotion so they will remember you.  

One way to tell your story to your customers is to show the faces behind the product and the company. Show the faces of employees and leadership. Show your team doing behind the scene stuff. It may seem regular and mundane to you, but it will be interesting to your customer. 

And if none of that appeals to you, just post of stories because that's where all the people are. Just post something, you'll be glad you did one year from now.
